National Teaching Assistant Learning Pathway (TALP) programmes
CSC facilitates the local delivery of the three National Teaching Assistant Learning Pathway (TALP) programmes.
Induction Programme
There are two online assignments for newly appointed teaching assistants (TA) are designed to support your way through your first year of being a TA. You will need to complete the evaluation at the end of the first assignment before you can access the second.

Practising Programme
This 1-day in-person event is designed to support TAs in deepening their understanding of the Professional Standards for Assisting Teaching and exploring a range of strategies to enhance their impact in the classroom.

Aspiring Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Programme
This 4-day programme is designed to support highly experienced TAs who are looking to further develop their knowledge and skills. By successfully completing the programme, teaching assistants will be well equipped to identify their preparedness for HLTA assessment.Applications for Cylch 14 will be open in the Autumn Term 2026.
Through the professional learning passport, practitioners can record their professional learning activities.
